Stone Patios

Phoenix Systems is a master deck build and design firm located in Northern Virginia. We build all our decks with building permits .On This deck built in Lorton Virgina we used many new products. This deck  features dry space, vinyl rails by Monarch composite, PVC Coma and Azak capping on the 6x6 posts and fasia boards. We used  evergreen decking, and custom low voltage lighting on the stairs as is required by code. Note the gutter and down spouts for the dry space system.

The Dry Space system  creates usable space under patio decks. This deck was built to the Fairfax County Deck detail. Also note Phoenix built a brick edged flagstone patio with brick retaing walls capped in cut flagstone. The patio was built by first pouring a 4" concrete pad.  After the concrete pad and retaing wall footer was poured in 3500 psi concrete with fiber, we then built a cmu block retaining wall with re bar filled cells.

After the retaing wall was built we capped the it with Belden white sanded face brick. The seating wall was then set off with low voltage lighting. The patio features Boral white sanded clay pavers. WE USED BRICK LOCK TYPE S MORTAR ON ALL JOINTS IN THE RETAINING WALL AND WE USED PORTLAND CEMENT IN LAYING THE FLAGSTONE.

After the brick edge was laid we filled in the enter patio area with blue green Pennsylvania irregular flagstone. Phoenix home Services sometimes uses a hidden composite deck fastener. This hanger system creates a smooth deck surface. Using this system will make sure that there are no screws or nails; tarnish the beauty of your new deck project. Your decking boards will be held together by biscuit fasteners that have a design that produces a smooth surface that enhances the look of any deck project.
